Sydney Festival is on the hunt for a full-time, permanent External Relations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse portfolio of sponsors and partners, playing a key role in the success of our festival. This multifaceted position involves administration, delivery of the festival’s restaurant program, stakeholder liaison, account management, and event support. It’s a role that offers plenty of variety, hands-on experience, and lots of fun along the way.
What you'll bring to the table:
* Proven experience in corporate partnerships or account management, managing a portfolio of partners.
* Outstanding organisational skills — capable of handling multiple tasks, with excellent attention to detail, and a love of a good spreadsheet.
* Experience supporting the development of sponsorship proposals or partnership materials.
* A natural people person who thrives on managing relationships and remains calm and focused in demanding or high-pressure situations.
* Confident supporting contract negotiation processes – comfortable reviewing key terms, coordinating internal approvals, and ensuring agreements are accurately documented and tracked.
* Australian residency or a visa that allows full-time employment.

* Administration experience within a professional organisation.
* Experience working with a portfolio of accounts and successful management of partner relationships.
* Proposal writing skills – the ability to assist in tailoring compelling, well-crafted documents to support sponsorship and funding initiatives.

* A team player with the capacity for creative thinking.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A highly collaborative approach and flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities.
* Confidence and openness to trying alternative processes or adjusting deliverables to achieve the best results.
