Wedding and Event Sales Manager – Full-Time
As our newest Wedding and Event Sales Manager you will focus primarily on making our clients' dream weddings come true with our amazing venue and destination. You will work closely with the Director of Events to bring Ovolo's vision to life every day with your effervescent personality and effortless ways of doing things. This is a Full-Time role and will require flexibility in availability.
Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end wedding and event sales activities, including enquiries, site inspections, proposals, contracting, invoicing, and client liaison through to execution
* Collaborate closely with internal departments (F&B, Kitchen, Front Office, Reservations, and Operations) to ensure successful event delivery
* Maintain and update the sales database (e.g. Opera Cloud), ensuring accurate client profiles and effective communication across teams
* Maximise revenue through upselling and promoting current packages, offers, and promotions
* Support the development and execution of the wedding and events sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue and brand positioning
* Conduct market research and coordinate key projects to identify opportunities that enhance sales performance and offerings
* Provide weekly updates for MICE meetings, including quotes, confirmed and lost business, short lead conversions (within 7 days), site inspections, and client meetings
* Deliver exceptional guest and client experience, acting as a positive role model for service excellence
* Engage with guests and clients to gather feedback on product quality and service delivery
* Proactively upsell and maximise revenue opportunities across all interactions
* Respond to and resolve guest or client issues promptly and professionally
* Capture and manage feedback and testimonials to support brand reputation and marketing initiatives
Qualifications
* You will ideally have a minimum of 4 years of experience, especially in wedding events & sales
* Hold a tertiary qualification in event or hospitality management, preferred, however not essential
* Bring excellent communication skills through your positive attitude and passion to succeed
* Ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues during the planning and execution of wedding events
* Familiarity with wedding traditions, trends, and popular vendors
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams
* Honest, reliable, and trusted when working independently
* Keen, ambitious, full of passion, integrity, and energy. Proactive and taking initiative with a hands‐on approach
