ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As Communications Manager, you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and play a pivotal role within the Marketing team. You will help shape our national brand presence and lead campaigns across multiple channels.
Strategic leadership
* Collaborate to develop, implement, and evaluate national communication and marketing strategies.
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of multi-channel campaigns.
Content creation and management
* Produce, proof, and coordinate high-quality content and collateral, working with external creative partners (designers, photographers, media).
* Develop innovative digital marketing strategies and manage always-on content across our website, social media, and eDM platforms.
Media and events
* Manage media releases and advertising placements aligned with campaign plans.
* Coordinate media testimonials and maintain strong media relationships.
* Organise brand and product promotion events in collaboration with the Marketing team.
Data-driven marketing
* Analyse internal yield, disease, and quality data, as well as external trial data (e.g. National Variety Trial data), to inform product positioning and marketing content.
* Evaluate campaign performance using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Twitter/X) to optimise future activities.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who is passionate about Australian agriculture with a proven track record in managing communications. You will bring:
Skills and experience
* Exceptional communication and marketing skills, ideally with exposure to the agricultural sector.
* Strong writing and editing skills for producing high-quality content across channels (media releases, social media, website, eDM, video).
* Experience with digital marketing, including SEO, email marketing, social media and content management systems.
* Strong attention to detail, planning, organisation, and time-management skills.
* High computer literacy including experience with CRM systems, analytics platforms, and design, digital marketing and generative AI tools.
* Knowledge of broadacre farming systems, grain production and varieties (desirable).
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or agriculture; or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Other Requirements
* A current driver's licence is required.
