We currently have a full‑time permanent position available for a Tradesperson’s Assistant at our Mildura Corporate Office which services, repairs and maintains a large range of industry leading John Deere equipment.
Role
You will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including, but not limited to:
Assisting Technicians with the assembly, repair and pre‑delivery of equipment where directed
Assisting the workshop with repair jobs as directed
Operating a forklift
Maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of Company buildings including both internal and external and garden and lawn areas.
Assisting with the preparation of field days and customer events.
Assisting with the secure loading and unloading of machinery onto vehicles for transportation
Maintaining the yard and stock areas.
Following all workplace health and safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments and hazard monitoring.
Current and valid driver’s license.
Physically fit with enthusiasm towards manual labour.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Well presented.
Positive knowledge of the geographical area and local roads around the area.
Ability to work within timeframes and to meet deadlines.
Preferred
Previous experience in agricultural industry.
Experience in the automotive or earthmoving industries will be considered.
