*The Role
The purpose of this role is to advise and support managers across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to address industrial and workplace relations issues, including, but not limited to: organisational change, Union engagement, grievances, workplace investigations, industrial disputes and external advocacy.
You will
Offer specialised advice to resolve diverse workplace issues, including complex disputes, union engagement, and appeals, providing expertise for external advocacy like the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission
Handle matters encompassing complex case management discipline, suspensions, ill-health retirement, diminished performance, conduct, and employment abandonment
Engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, internally and externally
Manage critical cases involving diminished performance, disciplinary actions, misconduct, and industrial grievances requiring structured solutions.
Provide expert guidance on contemporary best practices for organisational change processes, following established guidelines and principles
Conduct comprehensive research addressing various complexities of workplace relations issues

Permanent full time and temporary full time (one permanent position and one temporary position, up to 12 months with possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Proven expertise in navigating diverse workplace relations challenges.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in managing complex cases and implementing industrial solutions
Strong research capabilities to address multifaceted workplace issues.
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification will be highly regarded

Forming part of People and Operations, Human Resource Services provides advice, support and resources to the Health Service workforce in relation to a broad range of human resource functions. This human resource management support includes: recruitment, training, learning and development, policy and procedure development, work health and safety, statutory compliance, liaison with external agencies and forums workplace relations, and Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs).
Workplace Relations works closely with HRBPs and the Work Health and Safety team (particularly in relation to long-term injured or ill employees), as well as divisional and line managers to facilitate the resolution of workplace relations issues through the provision of expert advice and guidance.
