Join Metro South Health's Maintenance Services team at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba. As a qualified Plumber, you'll play a vital role maintaining and repairing hospital infrastructure and hydraulic systems to ensure a safe, efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is permenent full-time.
Your new role:
As a Tradesperson – Plumber, you'll deliver planned and corrective maintenance across plumbing systems, infrastructure and equipment at Metro South Health facilities. You'll ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will:
Undertake maintenance and repair of hydraulic and drainage systems across hospital facilities
Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks within deadlines and budgets
Troubleshoot issues and implement effective, lasting solutions
Liaise with staff, contractors and supervisors to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations
About you:
You're a qualified and experienced plumber who takes pride in quality work, safety and teamwork. You thrive in a busy environment and are motivated to support the delivery of excellent healthcare through reliable infrastructure. This will include:
A certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent) and Plumbing/Drainage licence
A proven experience maintaining plumbing systems in large or complex facilities
A strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills
an Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
