About the role
Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy networks? Join us as a Future Networks Strategy Specialist and play a pivotal role in driving Essential Energy’s transition to a smarter, more sustainable future. This role you’ll contribute strategic insights and analytical expertise to support the integration of distributed energy resources and the development of innovative non‑network solutions. You’ll help shape long‑term strategies and initiatives that align with our corporate objectives, balancing performance, innovation and cost‑effectiveness.
This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.

About your skills
* Strong strategic planning and commercial awareness

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and/or qualifications
Desired experience
* Experience in the electricity distribution sector, particularly with innovative technology programmes
* Proven leadership in strategic and delivery teams
* Familiarity with Australian electricity regulations and legislative processes
* Experience in business strategy, execution, policy development and process automation
* Background in Business Commerce or Economics (desirable)
