Salary: Level 6, $115,824 - $127,647 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2024)Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part TimeOperational Initiatives are seeking to establish a pool of Coordinators - School Sport for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025, and up to the end of October 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.The Operational Initiatives branch is responsible for the management and implementation of strategic education programs that support schools and student outcomes. Typically, these programs involve partnership and liaison with the non-government school sectors, corporate and not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia. A key responsibility of the branch is to assist public schools in implementing these programs.The Operational Initiatives branch provides leadership and supports regions in their implementation of key initiatives, which includes the promotion, planning, establishment and management of competitive interschool and interstate sport for Western Australian school students.The RoleSuitable applicants will assist and support the Manager, School Sport in relation to the delivery of competitive school sporting opportunities for students in all Western Australian schools. They will promote, plan, establish and manage competitive interschool and interstate sport for Western Australian school students, including country weeks, national carnivals, and inter-school swimming and athletic carnivals.Coordinators are required to monitor and review Department policies along with other educational sector policies.
