You'll join a team where your insights directly influence pricing strategy, portfolio performance and underwriting outcomes across a growing insurer.
What You'll Be Doing
* Monitoring portfolio performance, loss ratios and underwriting outcomes
* Analyzing claims frequency, severity and emerging portfolio trends
* Developing and enhancing pricing models across motor and home insurance portfolios
* Identifying opportunities to improve portfolio profitability and customer outcomes
* Partnering with Pricing, Underwriting and Product teams to support business decisions
What Great Looks Like
* Applying data to real-world problems
* Advanced analytical and modelling capability
* Strong programming and data manipulation skills (SQL, SAS, R, Python or similar)
* Strong Excel and advanced computer skills
* Confident communicator who can translate technical insights to stakeholders
* Proactive, commercially minded and focused on continuous improvement and attention to detail
* Able to effectively manage multiple priorities and switch between tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
What Will Help You Succeed
* 4–7 years' experience in an actuarial, pricing or portfolio analytics role
* Experience within general insurance is essential
* Experience working across personal lines products such as motor, home or related insurance portfolios
* Strong understanding of insurance pricing principles, portfolio performance and loss cost analysis
* Progress towards actuarial qualifications (Part I / II / III)
* Strong programming capability using SQL, SAS, R or Python
* Ability to communicate complex analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
