Senior aboriginal heritage manager

Lead an accomplished team of heritage professionals to deliver pioneering Aboriginal heritage projects throughout NSW, driving sustainable conservation and promoting community engagement.
As a Principal or Senior Heritage Consultant, you will be responsible for leading project teams, managing fieldwork, budgets, and timelines, while ensuring the quality of deliverables. You will also engage with clients to understand their project requirements, provide expert advice on heritage and archaeological matters, and develop tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the delivery of heritage projects, overseeing project teams, planning and delivery of fieldwork, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring that project goals are met.
* Engaging with clients to understand their project requirements, providing expert advice on heritage and archaeological matters, and developing tailored solutions that meet client needs.
* Effective stakeholder engagement with both internal and external stakeholders relevant to the role.
* Presenting technical findings and relaying information to non-technical persons, including clients and community.
* Well-versed in heritage and archaeological legislation, regulations, and guidelines, and applying this knowledge to assess significance, develop conservation strategies, and mitigate impacts on heritage and archaeological values.
Requirements:
* A degree in Cultural Heritage Management, Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience for the principal role and 5+ years for the Senior role.
* Preferably experience in a consultancy environment.
* Knowledge of relevant State and Commonwealth heritage legislation and associated regulations and guidelines, with experience in NSW highly regarded.
* Demonstrate leadership experience, including project management and team coordination.
* Interest and experience with client relationship management.
