About the role
As a Foreman at 5MI Aust Pty Ltd, you will play a vital leadership role in overseeing construction projects in the Canberra area. This full-time position is essential in ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of construction projects, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Supervising and coordinating construction teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the required standards
* Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
* Effectively communicating and collaborating with project managers, clients and other stakeholders
* Ensuring all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
* Providing mentorship and guidance to construction workers to support their professional development
* Participating in site inspections and quality assurance checks
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to construction activities
What we're looking for
* Substantial experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction teams
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges that arise on site
* Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment and safety protocols
* Working knowledge of relevant construction regulations, codes and standards
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and drawings
* Proficient in using construction management software and digital tools
