Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION: The Successful Candidate Will Be Given An Opportunity To Participate In Improving Other People's Lives By Delivering Person-centred Services, Working With a Range Of Clients (across The Age Span) With Various Needs (from Short-term Involvement, To Complex, Long-term Needs).
This Will Involve, But Is Not Limited To:
* Conducting a range of Psychological assessments of a client's presenting issues and support needs, and identifying appropriate supports, interventions and service models;
* Preparing, writing and delivering Psychological and other specific assessment reports;
* Providing client-centred therapy and direct treatments;
* Providing behaviour support for children and adults with complex disability and psycho-social support needs, complex mental health issues, and trauma based presentations;
* Working with a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes.
Our office is based in Success. The position will require regular travel around the Perth metro area and occasional regional travel.
Criteria
Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Psychology and minimum of 5 years experience as a Psychologist with general AHPRA registration;
* Practitioner registration with the NDIS Commission;
* Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and / or experiences of trauma who have complex needs;
* Experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodiverse populations;
* Experience in providing clinical and / or behaviour assessment, intervention and support in the disability, out-of-home care and / or other relevant sectors;
* Experience in the provision of practice or clinical supervision to other practitioners;
* Experience working with individuals who have had contact with the juvenile justice or criminal justice system is desirable but not essential.
Due to the nature of our business, it is required that our staff:
* have a current Driver's Licence;
* have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.
