About the Role
The Farm Mechanic is a key part of our Maintenance Team and is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of farm machinery and equipment across our sites. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment and takes pride in doing things properly the first time.
Your work will directly support crop production, harvest efficiency, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair farm machinery, vehicles, and equipment
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
* Carry out preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime
* Respond promptly to breakdowns during critical farming periods
* Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
* Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency
* Work collaboratively with farm, production, and operations teams
* Ensure all work complies with WHS requirements
About You
You will be successful in this role if you will have :
* Experience as a Trade-qualified mechanic or significant relevant experience
* Experience with agricultural machinery, plant, or heavy equipment (highly regarded)
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability
* Safety-focused with a proactive, practical mindset
* Be comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
* Be reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented
* Current driver's license required
