PRIMARY DETAIL

Support accreditation processes and drive key educational initiatives to ensure quality and compliance across the Faculty of Arts.

- Salary package: $99,161 to $109,457 per annum (HEW 6) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.

- Full-time (35 hours per week), continuing role

- Hybrid/ flexible work arrangements

- Based at the Faculty of Arts, Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

The Role
We are seeking an Accreditation and Educational Initiatives Officer to play a key role in supporting accreditation processes and advancing strategic educational initiatives across the Faculty of Arts.

In this role, you will:

- Oversee the administration of end-to-end internal and external accreditation and reaccreditation processes for the Faculty’s courses.

- Coordinate and prepare cases for conditional course accreditation, including monitoring ongoing review requirements.

- Support the annual planning and coordination of accreditation activities across the Faculty, ensuring alignment with University and external requirements.

- Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic education initiatives, defining deliverables, milestones, and timeframes.

- Provide advice on accreditation processes and assist academic staff with documentation and submissions.

- Undertake detailed benchmarking, research, and data analysis to support decision-making.

- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Faculty and University to identify, adopt, and implement process improvements.

You will report to the Educational Governance and Initiatives Manager within the Quality Assurance and Compliance function.

About You
You will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or extensive relevant experience.

- Knowledge of higher education processes, with the ability to interpret and provide advice across a range of policies and standards. Understanding of accreditation process within Higher Education would be highly desired.

- Solid project planning skills, including development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project plans and cycles.

- Experience in research, benchmarking, and data analysis.

- Demonstrated experience preparing complex documentation, including comprehensive reports, papers, and submissions.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver on competing deadlines.

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a customer service focus, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Robust written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management systems.

Essential Selection Criteria

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or extensive relevant experience.

- Knowledge of higher education processes with experience interpreting and providing advice across a range of standards, policies, and procedures. Understanding of accreditation processes within Higher Education would be highly desired.

- Experience in undertaking research, data analysis, and benchmarking.

- Experience in the preparation of complex documentation, including drafting comprehensive reports, papers, and submissions for internal and external audiences. Experience in preparing accreditation and other governance related documents is highly desired.

- Strong project and time management planning skills, including the ability to meet competing deadlines.

- Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
