We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our Townsville, Queensland team. Duties and Responsibilities May Include
* Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
* Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
* Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
* Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
* Monitoring the well‑being of customers and reporting on their progress
* Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
* Overnight customer support and assistance 1–2 times a week
Role‑Specific Requirements
We have some positions that require female support workers and mature age applicants, based on participant preferences. These roles may involve:
* Sleepovers required (2‑1 and 1‑1)
* Personal care required
* Experience with implementing, or willingness to learn, Positive Behaviour Support Planning
* Manual Handling / Hoist experience
* Experience with, or willingness to obtain, Epilepsy Management Training
* Must complete Assist Clients with Medication Certificate
* Immediate start available
What You Will Need
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
* Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
* Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check / Yellow Card
* Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance)
* Smartphone with internet access
