About the Role
The Receptionist/Administration Assistant plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation. Key responsibilities include managing administration duties, operating the PABX telephone system to handle incoming calls and direct callers to relevant personnel when available.
In addition to these tasks, the successful candidate will greet visitors with politeness and make them feel welcome while they wait for their scheduled meetings. They will also assist with invoicing, word processing, Occupational Health & Safety matters, and other administrative responsibilities.
This position requires a full-time Receptionist/Administration Assistant with excellent communication skills and proficiency in both administrative tasks and technology. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to build relationships, practice diplomacy, and demonstrate accountability are essential.
Moreover, this role demands a high level of professionalism, respect, honour, culturally safe practices, and commitment to providing quality care. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively engage with Aboriginal communities and local groups, demonstrating a genuine understanding and appreciation for the cultural context.
Applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage and provide proof of identity. A strong connection to Aboriginal culture is vital for success in this role, as it is essential to work collaboratively with Elders and the community to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in administration or a related field
