Animal Ethics Committee Member
La Trobe University seeks expressions of interest for an Animal Ethics Committee member, Category A. The successful candidate will have qualifications in veterinary science recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Australia and relevant experience to the institution's activities.
Responsibilities include attending committee meetings, reviewing applications, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy, participating in annual inspections, and maintaining confidentiality.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, ability to interpret legislation and policy, and commitment to animal welfare. Induction training is provided to new members, and reimbursement or allowance is available for personal expenses incurred in carrying out AEC activities.
