Description
Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet, with an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a partner in the Triton program, which includes the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force, and Northrop Grumman.
Your Role:
As an Avionics Engineer, you will provide aerospace-related design, analysis, and technical support services. Your responsibilities include:
* Management and administration in accordance with Northrop Grumman work instructions
* Development, review, and approval of engineering instruments before release to customers
* Providing engineering support
* Managing the delegated scope of engineering workflow and backlog in coordination
* Investigating, reporting, and communicating engineering compliance issues to the Engineering and Technical Services Manager
* Providing support and knowledge in continuing airworthiness support
About You:
As an experienced aircraft engineer, you should have:
* Experience as a professional engineer within the aviation industry
* Knowledge of document/configuration management and project management tools
* Experience in mentoring and coaching technical staff
Desirable but not essential:
* Technical experience in an aircraft-related through-life support program
* Commercial/business management acumen
* Experience with other defense contractors
