We are seeking an
experienced Development Engineer (15+ years)
to join a major international joint venture in the Australian gas sector. This is a career-defining role that combines
technical depth, broad project exposure, and commercial influence

subsurface inputs, project development pathways, and reserves/economics
.

review, challenge, and assurance
of operator-led development plans.
* Influence strategic decisions on
concept selection, FEED, FID, and field development planning
.
* Represent JV interests in technical and commercial committees, ensuring risks and opportunities are clearly defined.
* Translate subsurface modelling, reservoir management, and well planning into
commercially relevant outcomes
.
About You
We are looking for a
broad-based engineer
with:
* 15+ years' experience
across upstream gas — ideally with rotational exposure in subsurface, facilities, and project development.
* Technical grounding in
reservoir engineering, production, and flow assurance
, with the ability to challenge operator assumptions.
* Proven track record in
integrating technical findings into commercial strategy
(reserves booking, economics, JV reporting).
* Strong capability in
joint venture representation, assurance, and governance
.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and support decisions at
board/committee level
.
What's on Offer
* The opportunity to move beyond a purely technical role into
strategic development
.
* A senior platform in a
globally significant JV
, influencing decisions that shape Australia's long-term gas supply.
* Exposure to
high-value, complex energy projects
with commercial and technical reach.
If you are a technically strong engineer who has built breadth across subsurface and facilities — and want to influence
how gas projects are developed, sanctioned, and optimised
— this role offers the perfect balance of challenge and impact.
