About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join the Melbourne team. This role manages site activities in accordance with the construction program to ensure the project is delivered sufficiently, and with the highest quality.

Your duties and responsibilities:

Stakeholder management: Maintain professional relationships with clients and their representatives, sub-contractors, relevant authorities, delegates, and consultants.

Site management: Manage the site construction activities to ensure the most productive use of available materials and construction resources. Drive innovation through project evaluation and quality assurance.

Industrial relations: Maintain and monitor all environmental site-specific issues. Act as the first point of contact for potential industrial relations issues.

Work, Health and Safety: Operate sites with the best practice approach to health and safety by observing and demonstrating safe work practices and ensuring others do the same. Ensuring and managing compliance with WHS legislation, regulations, licensing conditions and sound work practices.

Leadership & development: Provide strong, hands-on leadership to a multidisciplinary site team including foremen, leading hands, and site coordinators. Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring, coaching, and developing staff to achieve both individual and project goals.

What we are looking for:

10+ years' experience in a site management role

Either a trade or tertiary education background (within the Building & Construction Industry)

Construction Industry Induction cardholder

Experience in delivering a broader range of project types (multi floors, heavy refurbishment, services, structural alterations, live environments etc)

Certificate IV WHS required

Comprehensive understanding of the building codes and guidelines.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - ability to build relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

Good understanding of health and safety requirements and their application.
