**About the Role**:
As the Area Sales Manager (Gold Coast) you will be responsible to grow our business in the Independent Grocery & Pharmacy channel through building and leveraging group and store level relationships to drive superior business results. You will aim to drive growth in the highly strategic pharmacy channel, focusing on our Adult & Feminine Care portfolio, and drive superior performance vs. state and national in the independent grocery channel across all categories.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Executing nationally negotiated plans on a weekly basis in the independent grocery channel.
- Develop and manage superior store & group level relationships in both Independent and Pharmacy channels to drive store level excellence in execution.
- Partner closely with pharmacy stores to drive distribution and growth, primarily focusing on Adult & Feminine Care in Pharmacy.
- Achieve financial metrics within budgeted trade investment spend working with National Customer Teams to develop tailored customer plans.
- Deliver exceptional results and RSV growth ahead of national, state and category in your designated territory.
- Achieve market share targets as agreed with National Customer Team & Field Leadership team.
- Identify and action store level opportunities through the analysis of territory data, as well as identify business development growth opportunities.
- Build trust with group managers through a regular impactful contact strategy that translates into store level wins.
- Educate and develop your stores & groups knowledge of our categories, through insight-based selling
- Subject matter expert on our categories, especially our Adult & Feminine Care sector to enable best in class selling to Pharmacy stores.
**Qualifications and Experience**
As the successful applicant you will have a natural flair for building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and a genuine passion for Field Sales which you have been able to demonstrate through your previous experience in managing Accounts. Your experience and knowledge of the FMCG industry as well as your previous track record of sales success in the grocery and/or pharmacy channel will also be highly regarded.
Additionally, you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications
- Valid Driver's license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Analytical Skills and financial acumen
- Self-Driven and ability to work autonomously
- This role may require some regional travel, therefore the flexibility to travel regionally (approx. once every quarter) required.
- As a requirement imposed by our customers, full vaccination status required
