Economic Development Business Partner
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Economic Development Business Partner to contribute to Council’s success.

* Permanent full time, 9-day fortnight
About the Role
The purpose of this role is to support sustainable economic development in the Gladstone Region by supporting the delivery of Council’s economic development and strategic priority project initiatives. This role will contribute to informing economic and strategic project investment decisions that are disciplined, robust and in the best interest of the Community.
You will bring:
* Relevant qualifications and/or sound experience in supporting the delivery of economic development/strategic projects.
* Demonstrated experience in project management and supporting simultaneous projects within agreed timeframes.
* Experience writing corporate reports, publication writing, producing content for strategic priorities and advocacy documents.
* Proven interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively, develop and maintain positive working relationships with diverse internal/external stakeholders.
* High level organisation and prioritisation skills, along with well-defined research and analytical skills such as data collection, economic modelling and analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Well-developed communication (oral and written) and engagement skills to influence and negotiate outcomes.
* Proficient keyboard skills, knowledge of and/or sound skills in contemporary Project Management systems particularly Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience operating corporate business systems.
* Ability to work outside of normal hours and undertake some travel, as requested and required of the role.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
