About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all operational, maintenance and compliance functions across a busy retail centre. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, service excellence, contractor management and delivering a consistently high‑quality environment for retailers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Operational and Financial Focus
* Prepare and manage annual outgoings budgets.
* Track expenditure and identify efficiency opportunities.
* Plan and prioritise maintenance, repairs and upgrade works.
* Manage tenders, contractor performance and contract negotiations.
* Coordinate minor capital works and maintain a forward capital program.
Customer, Compliance and Team Focus
* Maintain strong standards across presentation, safety and service levels.
* Respond efficiently to retailer and customer issues.
* Monitor tenancy delivery milestones to ensure requirements are met.
* Oversee essential safety measures and sustainability compliance.
* Lead, coach and support on-site staff.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in facilities or operations management within retail or commercial property
* Strong understanding of OH&S, risk management and compliance
* Ability to manage budgets, reporting and capex planning
* Confident in contractor management and service delivery
* Professional communication and stakeholder management skills
* Tertiary qualifications in business, management or trade highly regarded
