At Saltair Modular, we manage the full project lifecycle, from concept design and approvals through to construction and turnkey handover. As Site Supervisor for the Mackay project, you’ll be backed by an experienced team and supported by streamlined systems that make delivery efficient and straightforward.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on overseeing the installation and completion of modular homes and commercial projects onsite in Mackay.
- Establish and set up the Mackay site, including signage, permits, inductions.
- Coordinate site inspections with crane and service subcontractors, including scope and quotes.
- Manage and complete site prep works (set out, footings, services).
- Supervise multiple site carpentry teams to deliver works on time.
- Plan, program, and implement site installation and completion works (services, finishing trades, defects).
- Act as key liaison with clients during installation and handover.
- Ensure all safety documentation is maintained (permits, inductions, SWMS, forms).
- Arrange procurement and take-offs for site materials.
- Monitor budgets, subcontractor engagement, and efficient project delivery.
- Seek innovative improvements to modular site processes.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate;
- Experience in establishing construction sites and ensuring site safety is front of mind.
- Ability to manage up to 10 projects at one time.
- Proven ability to supervise multiple subcontractors and trades.
- Strong client liaison and issue-resolution skills.
- Flexibility and problem-solving mindset when encountering roadblocks.
- Programming and planning capability for site works.
- Relationship-building skills with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Track record of 3+ years in the construction industry (trade background desirable, modular experience advantageous).
- Computer literacy for online inductions and reporting.
- Capacity to deliver under tight timelines in a fast-paced modular environment.
- Experience in modular is nice but not essential.
