We're Jack Barker Constructions a small but tight crew with big plans. Based in Tamworth NSW we specialize in providing commercial and residential concreting along with architectural and residential building.
This is a Leading Hand role for someone who knows how to lead by example. You'll be running multiple sites, keeping jobs moving without chaos, and making sure the team knows exactly what's expected, and delivers it.
You'll still be on the tools, but you'll be one step up:
Running stand-ups, toolbox meetings, and daily tasks.
Solving problems early and keeping standards high.
Liaising with subs and keeping schedules sharp.
Leading by example on the tools, in attitude, and in outcomes.
What We're Looking For
You've got your:
Cert III in Building and Construction, full Australian working rights, your own tools, valid driver's license and physical fitness. You ideally have 2-3 years experience working as a tradesman or a leading hand. You've worked across residential and/or concreting jobs before, and you know how to manage moving parts onsite.
You're methodical, honest, and sharp with detail. The right person here takes initiative, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys building a strong crew. You have strong problem solving skills and an eye for detail.
We don't do egos. We don't do late starts. And we don't do half-done work. If you're here to build something properly and put in the hard work, then we're on the same page.
What's In It For You:
$32–$39/hr + fuel card, depending on your experience and skills.
