**Your new role**
Motor Assessor position with flexible working arrangements in Metro Melbourne. This role will require you to demonstrate your technical and trade expertise in assessing motor vehicles and to ensure a reasonable outcome of repair costs.
Please Note: This position will require you to travel to different repair shops across Melbourne Metro locations.
Key Responsibilities: In this position you will be required to demonstrate your technical expertise in assessing motor vehicles and to ensure a reasonable outcome of repair costs. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assess motor vehicle claims, inspecting damage and using your trade knowledge to determine repair costs as fair and reasonable, correct method of repair established and negotiating total loss settlements
- Provide an outstanding experience to customers through each phase of the claim process
- Being a team-player and having a personable communication style, as you will work collaboratively in the office and in the field to ensure fair and reasonable outcomes
- Act as a negotiator and problem solver for issues between the company, customers and repairers
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate a strong technical experience in the motor vehicle repair industry. Along with your ability to perform collectively with peers in a team environment and have strong customer focus, negotiation, and communication skills. Other key factors include:
- Hold relevant Australian motor trade qualification (min Certificate 3 in Panel Beating or Spray Paint or Mechanic) Must have full Australian driver's license
- You will have strong fraud detection, decision making and conflict management skills
- Previous quoting or assessing experience within the smash repair industry would be an advantage
- Experience working as a motor assessor or working in the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry would be an advantage
