What we are looking for:
We have an opportunity for an additional Facilities Officer to join our Property Works & Services team. You'll play a significant role in supervising the delivery of Council's building and property portfolio, particularly the Administration and Community Hub building.
What your day will look like:
* Completing detailed inspections and Asset Condition and Building Inspection Reports
* Supervising contractors, tradespeople and building service providers
* Scoping, coordinating and supervising of maintenance, refurbishment and minor capital projects
* Coordinating work order and contract administration
* Ensuring Workplace Health and Safety standards and policies are applied
What you'll need for success:
* Experience in the building and construction industry including inspections
* Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
* Understanding of and commitment to workplace health and safety principles
What's nice to have:
* Tertiary qualification in construction or a related industry
