Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of the global aerial firefighting company Coulson Aviation, supporting Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with aircraft and experienced team members. Our fleet includes large aerial firefighting assets such as Boeing 737 FIRELINERS, C-130 Hercules fire bombers, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks, and Bell 412 helicopters, enabling rapid response capabilities.
We operate and manage New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft, handling maintenance, fleet support systems, management, and operating personnel. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently recruiting qualified Boeing CH47 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to join our team.
The selected candidates will work in a team environment performing maintenance and engineering activities to support aerial emergency response services. Candidates must prioritize safety and customer service, be flexible, and willing to work away from home base at short notice. We offer a competitive salary and an emphasis on work/life balance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform daily, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on customer-owned aircraft, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues as qualified, ensuring aircraft safety and airworthiness.
* Supervise unlicensed engineers, apprentices, and contractors as required.
* Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance documentation of all work performed.
* Support operations of emergency service aircraft to ensure effective response to missions.
Experience Requirements:
* Diploma in Aeroskills or equivalent educational qualification.
* Ability to obtain RAAF Base Access.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an AME in Australia.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* AME B1.3 Licence (preferably with no exclusions).
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Licence.
* Field maintenance experience.
