Maintenance Supervisor – East Region

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor – East Region to lead multiple teams across major civil, commercial, industrial, and ecological restoration sites and to help grow our work book in maintenance of natural and constructed landscapes. This is a hands-on supervisory role ideal for someone who thrives outdoors, enjoys team leadership, and can deliver high-quality landscape outcomes safely, efficiently, and to specification.

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee crews and manage day-to-day delivery of maintenance programs across a diverse portfolio of sites. This includes wetlands, stormwater assets, remnant vegetation, parks, playgrounds, public open space, and high-presentation constructed landscapes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising multiple teams across eastern and greater Melbourne
* Daily and weekly scheduling of maintenance programs
* Ensuring safe work practices in line with OHS, ISO, and SWMS requirements
* Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specifications
* Supporting onboarding, training, and competency of crew members
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders, attending site meetings, and preparing reports
* Ensuring SkyTrust documentation is completed accurately (SWMS, inspections, daily records, incidents)
* Managing weed control, turf maintenance, vegetation management and soft landscaping
* Setting up and managing infill planting crews and coordinating plant deliveries
* Identifying opportunities to improve systems, performance, and new business
* Ensuring all plant, tools, and equipment are used safely and maintained correctly

About You
You'll bring leadership capability, strong practical skills, and a passion for natural and constructed landscapes. You enjoy mentoring staff, solving problems on site, and working collaboratively with other divisions including construction, nursery, consulting and admin.
Key skills, experience and qualifications include:
* Certificate IV in Natural Resource Management, Horticulture, or Landscape Construction
* Strong experience in maintaining wetlands, bushland, parks, public open space and constructed landscapes
* Excellent plant ID skills and experience working in both NRM and formal landscape settings
* Proven ability to supervise crews across multiple sites
* Strong turf, grass and constructed landscape maintenance skills
* Competence with horticultural equipment (e.g. brushcutters, drills, mowers)
* White Card, Chemical User Certificate/ACUP, and a current driver's licence
* Good computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, SkyTrust, MYOB)
* Safety-focused mindset and experience with incident and hazard reporting
