Establishing Strategic Partnerships
The role of Business Development Manager involves collaborating with researchers across boundaries to identify and pursue research opportunities in the Defence and National Security sector. This includes articulating the value of early engagement with partners, scaling opportunities for CSIRO, and managing relationships to achieve impactful innovation and science.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a strategic partnerships plan that aligns with CSIRO's organisational strategy, driving business growth and research impact.
* Represent CSIRO in engagements with relevant stakeholders, including industry and government, to foster collaborative opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with Research and Enterprise Unit colleagues to negotiate and manage commercial outcomes for research partnerships.
* Inspire and lead at the research portfolio level, engaging researchers to grow the scale of CSIRO's partnering and business development activities.
* Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure optimised business outcomes.
This role is available at all CSIRO Sites in Australian major cities.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to articulate complex ideas and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
