About The Role
As the Power Supply Project Management Engineer, you will be a key leader, responsible for the comprehensive project management of the Power Supply team, ensuring seamless integration and robust program delivery from concept to launch for all T6 vehicle (Ranger, Raptor and Everest) derivatives. You will serve as the global single point of contact for internal customers, adeptly cascading program information and guaranteeing critical milestones are met. Your responsibilities will include coordinating electrical system design, driving cost reduction initiatives, and meticulously tracking deliverables to avoid delays. A core aspect of this role is your ability to resolve complex issues through a deep understanding of electrical components and by fostering strong cross‐functional team partnerships. You will proactively identify and escalated major issues or deadline delays to ensure the team remains on track and program timelines are consistently achieved.
This position reports directly to the Global T6 Power Supply Manager and is primarily based at our Broadmeadows site with as required support to our Geelong Research & Design Centre and also the Proving Ground in Lara, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.
Responsibilities
* Project manage, coordinate, and prioritise the daily activities of the Power Supply team, including escalation of issues.
* Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between internal customers and the Power Supply team, effectively cascading program information and ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met.
* Track and coordinate program deliverables, including AIMs, DPAs, and Build Support.
* Drive Power Supply system design for each program, including establishing interface standards, selecting system architectures, and incorporating recommendations from the Energy Management Engineer.
* Lead Cost Reduction activities and proactively identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities.
Qualifications
* Education: Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a similar field. Must be a Registered Engineer.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of Design & Release (D&R) Engineering expertise, particularly within electrical systems in a manufacturing or product development environment.
* Planning & Organisation: Exceptional planning, organisational, and prioritisation capabilities with a proven ability to manage complex tasks.
* Process Acumen: In‐depth knowledge of GPDS (Global Product Development System) deliverables, milestones and gateways.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to transparency, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
* Supplier Relations: Solid understanding of supplier processes and associated challenges within an automotive context.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated team leadership and a highly collaborative approach to problem‐solving and project execution.
* Technical Tools: Proficiency in key engineering tools and processes, including FMA, G8D, AIM, WERS, CAN/LIN CANalyser and digital oscilloscopes for measurements.
* Project Management: Proven project delivery knowledge and skills, with a track record of successful project completion.
