Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational, non-government school for ELC to Year 12 students, with three campuses across Darwin: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Science Technician to support the effective operation of our College's science department. This hands‑on role is essential in ensuring teachers and students have the resources, materials, and safe laboratory environment needed to deliver high‑quality science learning experiences.
As the Science Technician, you will prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, chemical solutions, and practical materials; manage stock and resource allocation; support teachers during practical lessons; and ensure compliance with all safety and hazardous‑chemical regulations. You will also play a key role in maintaining organised laboratory spaces, trialling experiments, assisting with demonstrations, and supporting students with project requirements.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail‑focused, safety‑minded, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory practice are essential.
