Are you passionate about ensuring the safety of electrical equipment? The Equipment Section of the Electrical Safety Office is looking for a dedicated Principal Inspector to join our team and make a significant impact on the safety of Queenslanders.
About Us: The Equipment Section administers the Electrical Safety Act and Regulation, including the Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS), ensuring
safety across the entire electrical equipment supply chain, from design and manufacture to sale and use. Our inspectors play a crucial role in protecting the community by ensuring that electrical equipment used in households and public places meets the highest safety standards.
The Role: As the Principal Inspector (Equipment Safety), you will:
- Safeguard Lives: Oversee and enforce safety regulations within the electrical equipment supply chain, directly contributing to the prevention of electrical hazards and accidents.
- Promote Public Safety: Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards, ensuring that the electrical equipment used by the public is safe and reliable.
- Collaborate for Safety: Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Educate and Advise: Provide expert advice and support to the community and industry, raising awareness about electrical safety.

- Formal studies on electrical theory are highly desirable.
