About the role
We are seeking a proactive, hands‐on Sales Manager / BDM to take full ownership of our sales lifecycle and lead our Unanderra-based team. This is a high‐autonomy \"player‐coach\" role for a professional who excels at bridging technical expertise with business development.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the full process: lead generation, face‐to‐face B2B prospecting, technical specification and closing
* Provide expert advice across our core capabilities: Cabinet Infrastructure, Wire Marking, Industrial Automation, Machine Safety, and Industrial IP CCTV solutions.
* Drive growth through consistent face‐to‐face engagement with industrial, process, and Tier 1 clients
* Oversee daily operations for the sales and support team, fostering a culture of accountability and technical excellence.
* Take \"hands‐on\" responsibility for CRM data integrity and Inventory Management systems to ensure accurate quoting and stock availability
* Visit client facilities to troubleshoot challenges and deliver bespoke automation/electrical solutions
* Mentoring and managing a dedicated, expert team of 5 employees
What we're looking for
* Strong background in industrial automation, electrical wholesaling, or electronic control systems
* Experience managing the full B2B sales cycle in a technical or industrial environment
* Certificate III in Electronics is an advantage but not essential
* Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
* Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a high‐performing sales team
