Overview
We are seeking a first or second year Electrical Apprentice/Trainee in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. At Visium Networks you will have the opportunity to learn on the go and work closely with a team of experienced technicians/Engineers.
You will be involved in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems including Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, (onsite) and electrical installations of outdoor LED signage. This role provides an understanding of how CCTV systems, access control databases, cabling and networking sites interact.
You will be entering a high growth market with new technologies changing the way we work, giving you the opportunity to develop key skills to support a career with the business in the Security Industry. You will work with a close, friendly team, primarily on projects at different locations around Melbourne with the possibility of travel interstate as the business supports sites in NSW, QLD, SA, WA and TAS.
Skills and experience
* Current (Valid) Drivers Licence
* Work Cover WH&S (White Card)
* Security Licence an advantage, candidate should have the ability to obtain a security licence
* Good customer service and effective communication skills
* Be self-motivated, well-presented, and keen to learn
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of basic electrical principles/Computer/Networking an advantage
