Our mechanical fitters are critical in the maintenance, upgrades / improvements undertaken on our plants to ensure efficiencies of all machinery to achieve product demands.Your Role Will IncludeMaintaining and repairing various fixed plant and mobile equipmentWork effectively with other maintenance and production team members, to better understand and manage equipment maintenance and resolve problemsParticipate in Continuous Improvement programsMaintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safe work practicesSkills and Experience:Relevant trade qualification along with substantial post trade experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment;Demonstrated understanding of hydraulics;Demonstrated sound problem solving skills and ability to think outside of the boxExcellent communications skills (written and verbal)Strong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently within a team environmentA LF Forklift licence (highly regarded)Rigging/dogman ticket (highly regarded)About the CompanyThe iconic Midland Brick is one of BGC Australia’s vertically integrated group of companies.
