About the Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail focused Assistant Finance Business Partner to provide accounting and financial support to the Finance Business Partners, helping to deliver budgeting, reporting and analysis that supports strategic decision making.
Working in close partnership with the Finance Business Partners and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to Council's core financial deliverables, including the annual budget, long term financial plan and annual financial statements, while also supporting the coordination and preparation of quarterly financial reviews.
This role will see you support the effective financial management of Council's grants, ensuring funding is accurately recorded, monitored, reported and acquitted in line with agreements, legislation and Council policies.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative and organised with a degree in Commerce, Business or Accounting and demonstrated experience in accounting, budgeting and financial statement preparation. Bring strong analytical and communication skills, and have the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in Business Partnering and Local Government is highly desirable.

Remuneration
$87,711 - $100,867 per annum plus 14% superannuation
