Offer description

Predictive Recruitment Partners has been engaged by Bush Kids to find an experienced and reliable, permanent part-time, childcare administrator to support their team in Bunbury.

About Bush Kids:

The Bush Kids team believes children thrive when they connect with nature. Every day, those little ones explore the outdoors, from digging in the mud kitchen to discovering bugs in the garden. Guided by caring educators, children develop creativity, confidence, and resilience through play-based learning under sunny skies and tall trees. Embracing the Southwest's beautiful surroundings – rain or shine – the outdoors is turned into the greatest classroom. Indoors, the spaces are cozy and welcoming, but it's the outdoor adventures that truly set Bush Kids apart and fill each day with wonder.

Bush Kids' centres also value community and belonging, fostering strong relationships with local families and involving the local community in the activities. Children learn to care for each other and their environment, growing into compassionate, curious young learners who feel right at home both in nature and in the centre. It's a nurturing, safe place where childhood is celebrated and every child is encouraged to be an explorer.

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable, experienced childcare administrator who has experience with the CCS system and its compliance requirements and preferably has an accounting or bookkeeping background.

Expect every day in this role to be different from the last, especially when it comes to personal interactions. It's a given that you'll be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, working across 3 childcare centres and helping to start up a fourth in early Consequently, this is a fast-paced role where the focus is on being of service, juggling multiple priorities, building and maintaining relationships, and adhering to established guidelines, procedures, and industry regulations.

It will see you, day to day:

* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date childcare fee records, invoicing and processing payments
* Monitoring accounts and communicating with families regarding fees and account queries
* Providing exceptional liaison services to families, staff, and government agencies
* Processing CCS submissions and reporting to ensure compliance
* Reviewing and improving office procedures to increase efficiency and compliance
* Assisting and supporting the Director with general office duties.

About you:

You probably describe yourself as a detail-oriented, people-oriented person who builds positive and collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues alike. You enjoy keeping systems tidy and organised, and relish being the person everyone trusts to keep things running smoothly.

You're empathetic, persuasive, and service-oriented, seeking out opportunities to help others while working within established guidelines. You're comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive when tasked with managing multiple priorities. Having a genuine interest in the organisation you work for, you're naturally curious and interested in the company's customers, your colleagues, and the way the business operates. While you'll look for ways to improve existing systems, you're a stickler for following established guidelines, structure, and regulatory policies.

Detailed work is a major focus of this role, and you handle those details quickly, correctly, and efficiently. You also have excellent communications skills, using persuasion rather than telling to build rapport and achieve outcomes.

What you bring to the role:

* Accurate, fast-paced, solution-focused approach to work
* Ability to work independently and confidently with both people and systems
* A desire to work at a faster than average pace without compromising on quality output
* Positive response to pressure and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

* A desire to foster strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
* Willingness to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help when necessary
* Strong activity prioritising and time management skills
* High level of attention to detail and strong follow through
* Genuine care for the families you interact with daily
* A strong drive to contribute to the team and to the community in general.

What we can provide:

A flexible, family-friendly part time role of between 28 – 35 hours per week.

* A current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).

You will also be highly regarded if you have:

* An accounting or bookkeeping background
