We are seeking an experienced Theatre Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Operating Suite. The successful candidate will have a broad range of Theatre experience and be able to develop and maintain appropriate clinical skills.

* Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain clinical skills in Perioperative/Recovery Room nursing.
* Take responsibility for allocated workload.
* Ensure high standard of documentation.
* Liaise with other departments, doctors, patients, and visitors as appropriate.
* Report difficult problems to the Clinical Nurse or Nurse Manager as necessary.
* Actively participate in departmental meetings.
* Demonstrate ability to manage straightforward health problems in the Operating Suite.
* Serve as a patient advocate, protecting the rights and safety of patients at all times.
* Participate in EQuiP programs of the Operating Suite and Hospital, assisting in policy formulation as needed.
* Utilize resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Participate in on-call roster as required by the Nurse Manager.
* Use Hospital equipment and other resources correctly and efficiently, adhering to Occupational Safety and Health requirements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:
">
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
* Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Occupational Safety and Health legislation.
* Commitment to ongoing education and development.
* Experience across all areas within a clinical perioperative environment, including Operating Suite, Recovery Room, and Anaesthetics.
