Clinical Nurse – Hospital in the Home (HITH)
North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) is seeking a temporary full-time Clinical Nurse for our Hospital in the Home service based at Mount Isa Hospital.
The role delivers advanced, evidence-based acute care to patients in their homes, temporary residences and the Mount Isa Police Watch House.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse within the HITH service you will provide advanced assessment, care coordination and clinical leadership to achieve optimal patient outcomes while working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-level acute care to patients outside traditional hospital settings.
Conduct comprehensive assessment and develop care plans.
Coordinate care across health services and support patients and families.
Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to staff.
Maintain documentation and meet quality standards.
Benefits
Base salary: $4,******–$4,****** per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1).
*****% employer superannuation contribution.
Isolation bonus: $3,500 (first year), $10,500 (second year), $7,000 (third year and onward).
Return airfares (spouse/dependents) twice a year to nearest east coast provincial city.
17.5% loading/bonus on 5 weeks paid leave per year.

Requirements
Relevant tertiary degree and appropriate registration/licence.
Post-graduate qualification or current enrolment in a relevant post-graduate program (highly desirable).
C-class motor vehicle licence.
Willingness to travel to Mount Isa QPS facilities and patient homes.
Pre-employment screening including criminal history checks.
Proof of vaccination/immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis (VPD risk role).
