About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to play a senior leadership role within one of Melbourne's most significant urban renewal programs — the Queen Victoria Market Precinct Renewal (QVMPR). In this role, you will provide strategic oversight and end-to-end delivery leadership across complex, high-value infrastructure projects, supporting city-shaping outcomes and the City of Melbourne's strategic objectives.
Working in a live operational environment, you will partner closely with senior program leaders and stakeholders to oversee governance, procurement, budgets, consultants and contractors, and construction delivery, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget while maintaining business continuity for traders.
A Little More About The Role
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure, civil, building and public realm projects within the Queen Victoria Market Precinct Renewal Program
* Provide strategic oversight across project planning, procurement, construction, contract administration and risk management
* Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd, traders, consultants, contractors and internal Council teams
* Drive high-quality project reporting, governance processes and continuous improvement across delivery systems and practices

About You
You are a confident and commercially astute project leader, comfortable navigating complexity and delivering outcomes in high-profile, live operational environments. You bring sound judgment, strong stakeholder capability and a collaborative leadership style to everything you do.
What Your Experience Might Look Like
* Extensive experience delivering complex, high-value construction or infrastructure projects end-to-end
* Demonstrated success managing projects in live operational environments with strong stakeholder and business continuity considerations
* Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management and commercial risk within public-sector or large organisational settings
* Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
* A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, construction management, engineering, architecture, urban design or equivalent senior experience
