About the Role

A roving clinical relief role involves providing temporary clinical support and coverage to different locations within Calvary Care, often on a rotating basis. This can include tasks such as mentoring staff, improving clinical practices, assisting with day‑to‑day operations, and ensuring high‑quality care standards are met across various facilities. It is a leadership/support position that requires flexibility, strong clinical expertise, and the ability to adapt to new environments.


Key Responsibilities

* Ensure comprehensive clinical and specialized nursing care is provided, documented, and tailored to each resident's needs by our clinical staff.
* Prioritize residents and their families in decision‑making, considering their preferences, independence, dignity, and identified care‑related risks.
* Oversee and conduct all scheduled AN-ACC reappraisals, including mandatory and voluntary assessments, as required.
* Hold Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) accountable for daily case reporting, care planning, and addressing patient concerns promptly.
* Conduct routine clinical assessments to promptly address identified gaps in care.


About you

* Currently registered as a Nurse with AHPRA, with no restrictions.
* Demonstrated senior management experience in the aged care sector.
* In‑depth knowledge of the aged care industry, with a keen eye for emerging trends and best practices.
* Proficiency in managing human resource matters, complemented by strong negotiation skills.
* Skilled in utilizing various information technology tools and software, including Word and Excel, with quick ability to adapt to new skills as required.
* Willingness to travel to Calvary aged care homes in the western Victoria region as required.
