About The Role
The role is offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months (parental leave coverage) and is required at a minimum of 4 days per week. This role will see you providing strong leadership to the operations and management of our ultrasound department within the Region. The role reports directly to our Brisbane-based Ultrasound Operations Manager and will require regular liaison to ensure consistency across all regions. The role will also require involvement with challenging patient and people matters, with support from Administration and the Operations Teams.
About You
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a fully qualified SonographerStrong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including patients, staff, referrers and hospital managementOngoing commitment to skill development also encompassing personal and professional growth, for yourself and the teamPassion for delivering an exceptional customer experience, and coaching those around you to do the sameAbility to adapt to existing processes and policiesFriendly, caring and compassionate nature
Expectations
Rostering and service delivery requirements of the practiceOperationally manage Medical ultrasound services across multiple sites and a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of the Managing Radiologist and in accordance with Queensland X-ray operational requirementsAttend managers’ meetings as required.Provide managerial leadership of the multi-disciplinary Ultrasound team delivering services in accordance with the relevant prescribed professional and ethical standards and the established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policiesRepresent Queensland X-ray at a regional level on matters relating to service provision and delivery where appropriateLead the development of service improvement initiatives across the region to ensure the provision of high-quality ultrasound services.Assist operations manager with workforce and strategic planning.Demonstrates flexibility and Emotional Intelligence in leadership style and staff interactionsInvolvement in staff appraisal program.Demonstrate responsibility and accountabilityDeliver advanced-level medical imaging clinical services across a multi-modality, multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards the established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policiesFoster and promote a workplace culture that aligns with the Sonic Core ValuesAssume accountability for all aspects of safety and quality within the regionProvide advanced-level clinical advice and direction based on a well-developed clinical
