The role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our operations team based in. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and continuously improving day-to-day warehouse operations while ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.
This role oversees inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and the leadership and development of the warehouse dispatch and receiving teams. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, safety, and warehouse efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Manage inbound and outbound movements of stock, products, and equipment.
- Ensure accurate product labelling and documentation in conjunction with the Warehouse Administration team.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with Production, Transport, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee stocktakes and cycle counts in collaboration with the Inventory Planner.
- Manage site waste disposal activities, including pallets, bins, drums, and other materials.
- Participate in projects focused on improving productivity, safety, and warehouse utilisation.
Leadership & Compliance
- Lead, coach, and mentor the warehouse dispatch and receiving teams.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements, including PPE usage.
- Train and ensure team members adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and allergen control standards in accordance with HACCP and GMP requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations through training and enforcement.
About YouQualifications
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) – essential.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role.
- Previous experience handling chemical products and hazardous substances is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HACCP, and GMP requirements.
- Experience with dangerous goods (DG) labelling and transport documentation is advantageous, although training will be provided.
