About the Role
The Counsel Assisting primarily assists the coroners with the preparation, management, and conduct of Inquest hearings. Counsel Assisting plays a key role in maintaining stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, and contributes to the development of policy and strategic management of the Coroner's Office. A high degree of initiative, judgement, and originality in the performance of professional work is required.
Eligibility
To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
Successful applicants are required to hold, or be eligible to hold, a current Australian practising certificate issued by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia.
