About The RoleWe're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage GeelongPort's engineering operations.
This pivotal role provides expert technical advice, ensures the optimal performance of civil, structural, maritime, and mechanical assets, and delivers strategic guidance on infrastructure development.
You will oversee capital projects and maintenance initiatives, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You will foster innovation, mentor team members, and collaborate across the business to deliver outcomes that align with GeelongPort's strategic objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert technical advice and leadership across delivery team and disciplines.Oversee the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of infrastructure assets.Lead the project management of capital works, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.Drive asset management strategies, including lifecycle planning, condition assessments, and risk management.Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Foster a culture of mentorship, learning, and professional growth within the engineering function.Champion innovation and continuous improvement across engineering operations.RequirementsAbout YouA degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (essential)Project Management qualification10+ years' experience in engineering, with strong knowledge in maritime, structural, civil.
Experience in mechanical systems is an advantage.Ability to lead and inspire a diverse teamProven expertise in managing construction and maintenance projects, including contract preparation and consultant engagementStrong business acumen, analytical ability, and organisational skillsProficiency in AutoCAD, SpaceGass, Maximo, and Microsoft ProjectExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skillsBenefitsWhy Join Us?
