Key Objectives:
* Enhance the safety culture and boost performance by fostering strong relationships and influencing meaningful health and safety values.
* Lead real-time safety conversations, encouraging accountability and making safety personal.
* Conduct thorough incident investigations, identifying contributing factors and developing smart actions to improve risk controls.
* Engage with local WHS committees and collaborate with HSRs to maximize consultation opportunities and shape a safety-first culture.
* Develop and implement comprehensive assurance activities to monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Prospective candidates should possess:
* A minimum Diploma level qualification in work, health and safety, along with relevant trade-based qualifications or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a safety professional or advisor in high-risk industries.
* Proven experience and qualifications in undertaking investigations through methodologies such as Incident Casual Analysis Method (ICAM).
* Comprehensive knowledge of safety theory and practice across complex multi-site businesses.
* Demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching a wide range of stakeholders.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
