Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency within the Department of Regional NSW. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. **About the Role**
The Australian Government is investing $40.7 million to support a network of Sustainable Agriculture Facilitators (SAFs) as part of the next five-year phase of the National Heritage Trust program (NHT). SAFs will provide the extension services needed to improve farmers' knowledge and uptake of climate-smart, sustainable practices including understanding of environmental markets and climate resilience to inform critical investment decisions for their future sustainability. SAFs will facilitate partnerships and connections that will assist farmers, landholders, community groups and agriculture industries to work together.

- Lead Projects: Oversee agricultural programs from start to finish, managing budgets, resources, and ensuring projects hit their milestones.

- Strategize & Implement: Contribute to strategic plans and local initiatives, using your expertise to shape effective agricultural policies and practices.
- Tackle the challenges of balancing multiple priorities and managing complex agricultural issues.
- Facilitate productive discussions and solutions among diverse groups and stakeholders
**About you**
As a Sustainable Agricultural Facilitator for South East Local Land Services, you'll play a vital role in supporting partnerships and practices that work to achieve sustainable agriculture outcomes. Your mission is to boost productivity while safeguarding our landscapes and facilitating partnerships that provide farmers with the tools, skills and knowledge to meet climate challenges.
**What you need for the role**:
- A degree in agricultural science, environmental management, natural resource management, biosecurity and emergency management, and/or an equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience
- Strong communication skills to engage with landholders and collaborate with key industries to build partnerships
- Project Management skills to deliver projects from start to finish
- Organisational skills to plan and deliver field days/meetings or other initiatives across the region
- Provide agricultural (livestock and/or agronomy) advise to agricultural producers.
- Have a Current NSW Class C Driver and be willing to undertake regular travel within the South East LLS region.
