Overview
Maintenance Technician - Electrical role at Alstom based at the Lilyfield Sydney Light Rail depot. The position involves maintenance and repair of the Rolling Stock and associated equipment within the Rolling Stock team. The role operates on a rotating roster including morning (6 am–2 pm), afternoon (2 pm–10 pm), and night shifts (10 pm–6 am) across weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation and diagnostic testing on tram equipment installed on Sydney Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) sub-systems
* Actively maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on Light Rail Vehicles
* Following all established safety procedures and utilising safety equipment as required
* Reporting on activities, problems found and measures taken
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and understanding as well as implementing quality control measures

* Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) required
* Fault finding ability with demonstrated experience in a similar role
* Experience in maintenance activities in a similar environment with railway industry experience an advantage but not essential
