Ocean Freight Customer Service Representative
Location(s): Mascot, NSW; West Meadows, VIC; Eagle Farm, QLD; Mawson Lakes, SA
As an Ocean Freight Customer Service Representative, you will support the day‐to‐day management of ocean freight shipments, providing accurate documentation, timely customer updates, and effective coordination across internal teams and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who is customer‐focused, detail‐oriented, and looking to build experience in a fast‐paced logistics environment under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and provide shipment updates.
* Support ocean freight operations, including shipment processing and documentation.
* Maintain accurate shipment records in CargoWise One (CW1).
* Coordinate with internal teams to meet service and delivery requirements.
* Assist with cargo pick‐up, delivery, invoicing, and related administrative tasks.
* Ensure regulatory compliance, elevate issues as required, and collaborate to meet service standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience in ocean freight customer service or operations.
* A good understanding of air freight processes and regulations (advantageous).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with freight systems such as CargoWise One preferred.
* Strong communication, organisational, and time‐management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced environment and meet deadlines.
* Detail‐oriented, customer‐focused, and team‐oriented with a willingness to learn and develop.
